BizTalk and SQL NT Services are used to perform operations on the NT Services that are available on the machines that host the server. Usually, both windows, as well as third-party NT Services, run on the systems and it should be noted that there are many exceptions in controlling the NT Services. Some services will stop automatically when they are started the OS detects that an NT Service is not being used by any process and will stop them automatically.

In BizTak360, the NT Services operation will appear as a new tab in the already existing BizTalk Server Details and in the new SQL Servers modules.

User Access Policy

We have added different levels of user access policies for NT services in BizTalk Server and SQL Server. The super users will have complete access to all the modules. Normal users will have restricted access and the level of restriction can be chosen by the super user. The super user can prevent access to SQL Servers using ‘User Access Policy’ under settings.

For a normal user who doesn’t have access to SQL Servers, the section will not be visible on the tab.

The normal user who don’t have the privilege to make operations on the NT Services will not be able to perform any operations and the action button will not be visible.

Governance and Audit of Servers

Both BizTalk NT Service activities and SQL NT Services activities are commonly displayed in 'Governance and Audit for Servers’ and also the Live Feed panel. The Operations done on different servers will be differentiated, and can also be filtered. Besides the server name, the type of server will also be visible.

  • Log in to the BizTalk360 application
  • Click 'Operations' tab in the Navigation panel
  • Click expand button against ‘Security’ tab and select ‘Governance – Audit’ link
  • Click ‘Server Activities’ to view the activities

Note:

Normal users who have access to either BizTalk or SQL Servers can only see activity details that are corresponding to the module that they have access.
