In BizTalk360 v8.3, we have added a new dashboard for the inbuilt ESB portal. The ESB Exception Management Portal is a BizTalk360 feature that allows users to view all the ESB exceptions messages directly in BizTalk360. Organizations use the ESB exception management capabilities, that comes out-of-the-box in Microsoft Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) toolkit, to handle exceptions uniformly in BizTalk applications. The ESB Toolkit is a collection of tools that extend the service-oriented capabilities of BizTalk, but the exception management capabilities is one of the most widely used features of the ESB Toolkit. The ESB Toolkit package will have two BAM Views which enables to monitor itineraries and itinerary services. These views will provide the users a lot of useful data which can be utilized for analytics, monitoring, and reporting. Once the views are deployed, the user has to enable Tracking in order to make it fully functional. To track itineraries, the user has to enable this inside Visual Studio Itinerary Designer by going to the properties of every itinerary service and setting the tracking property to true.

In this version, BizTalk360 automatically adds the ESB Reports to the home navigation under ESB Portal.dashboard contains widgets which query the data out of the database and display the details in graphical view. The user can add any of the available widgets to another dashboard, then each of them is available from the Dashboard Customization menu. There are13 pre-configured widgets which help to understand the ESB integrations better and help in analyzing the data to improve the performance. The pre-configured widgets are classified under three major sections

  1. Fault Count Widgets
  2. ESB Resubmission
  3. ESB Itineraries

Fault Count Widgets

The Fault count widgets are used to query the BAM database and identify the number of faults/exceptions that have occurred in the ESB Integrations.
