BizTalk360 allows the functionality to be able to download the Message Content and Message Context information in zip format. In addition to the download capability, BizTalk360 allows users to send the Message content and context information to their team members to diagnose specific issues.


Downloading The Message As A File

Follow the steps as shown below to download a message as a zip file:

  1. Log in to the BizTalk360 application
  2. Click the 'Operations' tab in the navigation panel
  3. Click the expand button against 'ESB Portal' tab and select 'ESB Exception Data' link
  4. Select the appropriate filter criteria (if any), and click Execute Query
  5. BizTalk360 v8.0 allows users to export the list of available applications for the user along with their current operational and configuration status. Click Export to Excel link to download the report to your computer.
  6. In the Query Results section, click the Properties icon (represented as an eye icon) to view the properties of the exception message
  7. In the Fault Viewer window, click the Messages tab to view the message information. The Messages tab will display the list of messages referenced by the particular fault
    The Messages tab will be visible only if the 'Messages Content/Context' option is selected for the current user profile. If you do not see the Messages tab, please contact your administrator to enable this Setting under User Access Policy.
    You can alternatively access the Message Content section by clicking the Message icon (envelope icon) on the Query results screen.
  8. Click the Properties icon (represented as an eye icon) to view the Message Details
  9. Click the Message Content tab to view the actual message content
  10. Click Download and select As File from the drop down. You will notice that the Message content and context information gets downloaded as a zip file.

Emailing The Message Information

To email the message information, follow the steps as shown below:

  1. Log in to the BizTalk360 application
  2. Click the 'Operations' tab in the navigation panel
  3. Click the expand button against 'ESB Portal' tab and select 'ESB Exception Data' link
  4. Select the appropriate filter criteria (if any), and click Execute Query
  5. BizTalk360 v8.0 allows users to export the list of available applications for the user along with their current operational and configuration status. Click Export to Excel link to download the report to your computer.
  6. In the Query Results section, click the Properties icon (represented as an eye icon) to view the properties of the exception message
  7. In the Fault Viewer window, click the Messages tab to view the message information. The Messages tab will display the list of messages referenced by the particular fault
    The Messages tab will be visible only if the 'Messages Content/Context' option is selected for the current user profile. If you do not see the Messages tab, please contact your administrator to enable this Setting under User Access Policy.

  11. In the Send messages as Email attachments pop up screen, enter the email addresses of the recipients to whom the email has to be sent. BizTalk360 allows the users to enter a maximum of 10 email addresses. The email addresses should be separated with a comma.
  12. Once the email addresses are entered, click Send Email
The SMTP settings need to configured in BizTalk360 in order to be able to trigger email alerts. Click here to read the steps to configure the SMTP settings.

Bulk Download Multiple Messages In One Go As A File

The Download As File and Send As Email option in the Message Content screen apply only to the selected message referenced by the fault. BizTalk360 provides an added functionality to be able to download multiple messages in one go. Follow the steps as shown below to bulk download multiple messages:

  1. Log in to the BizTalk360 application
  2. Click the 'Operations' tab in the navigation panel
  3. Click the expand button against 'ESB Portal' tab and select 'ESB Exception Data' link
  4. Select the appropriate filter criteria (if any), and click Execute Query
  5. BizTalk360 v8.0 allows users to export the list of available applications for the user along with their current operational and configuration status. Click Export to Excel link to download the report to your computer.
  6. Click the Select All check box to select all the query result items
  7. Click Download and select As File from the drop down. You will notice that all the Message content and context information gets downloaded as a zip file.

Send Multiple Messages In One Go As An Email

In addition to the functionality to be able to download multiple messages in one go, BizTalk360 also provides the functionality to be able to send multiple messages as an email. Follow the steps as shown below to send multiple messages in one go as an email.

  2. Click the 'Operations' tab in the navigation panel

  4. Select the appropriate filter criteria (if any), and click Execute Query

  6. Click the Select All check box to select all the query result items
  7. Click the Download button and select Send as Email from the drop down
