The first step in setting up the pre-loaded notification channels (Slack and ServiceNow) in BizTalk360 is to configure the channels with the appropriate settings. The following are the settings to be configured for Slack and ServiceNow.

  • Slack - Slack Gateway Settings (Slack URL and Access Token)
  • ServiceNow - ServiceNow Instance URL, Authentication Settings


Please note that you need to have Slack and/or ServiceNow configured and set up in your organization before you try to configure and set up the notification channel settings in BizTalk360. Creating/Setting up Slack and/or Service Now is not covered in this document as it falls out of the scope of the documentation. Please get in touch with your administrator for setting up Slack and/or ServiceNow.


Configuring ServiceNow Notification Channel in BizTalk360

To configure the ServiceNow notification channel -

  1. Log in to the BizTalk360 application (as a Super user)
  2. Click the 'Settings' icon found at the top right corner of the page
  3. Click 'Monitoring and Notification' from the Menu panel on the left side of the screen
  4. Click Manage Notification Channels
  5. Select the checkbox against the ServiceNow Channel name (B360.Notifier.ServiceNowNotification)
  6. Click Configure
    • ServiceNow URL - Enter the ServiceNow URL in the space provided. For e.g., https://devxxxxx.service-now.com/
    • Username - Enter the user name that you use to log in to the URL
    • Password - Enter the password
  7. Click the Configure button to save the ServiceNow configuration settings
  8. Once you click configure, you will notice that the Is Configured field changes from No to Yes

Configuring Slack Notification Channel in BizTalk360

To configure the Slack notification channel -

  1. Log in to the BizTalk360 application (as a Super user)
  2. Click the 'Settings' icon found at the top right corner of the page
  3. Click 'Monitoring and Notification' from the Menu panel on the left side of the screen
  4. Click Manage Notification Channels
  5. Select the checkbox against the Slack Channel name (B360.Notifier.SlackNotification)
  6. Click Configure
    • Gateway URL - This field is pre-filled with the Gateway URL
    • Access Token - Enter the access token that you have generated in https://api.slack.com/web
      If in case you do not have the Access Token, please contact your administrator. Alternatively, if you have the required permissions, create an application at "https://api.slack.com/applications" and generate the access token at "https://api.slack.com/web".
  7. Click the Configure button to save the Slack configuration settings
  8. Once you click configure, you will notice that the Is Configured field changes from No to Yes
