As discussed in the Introduction section, a trading partner agreement defines the bi-directional message properties between the business profiles of the two business parties. BizTalk360 will list the agreement properties information of the two business parties involved. 

All the values in the agreement properties screen are completely Read-Only. If you want to make any changes to the information, you need to log in to the BizTalk Server Administration Console.


Follow the steps as shown below to view the agreement properties information in BizTalk360.

  1. Log in to the application
  2. Click 'Electronic Data Interchange' in the Menu panel on the left side of the screen
  3. Click the 'Parties' icon to view the party information
  4. The Parties and Business Profiles section displays the different EDI parties and their associated profiles information on the left side of the screen. If there are multiple business profiles associated with a single party, all the profiles will be displayed.
  5. Click on one of the business party information to view the associated agreements. The right side of the screen will display the list of agreement(s) for the selected business party.
  6. Click the agreement to view the agreement properties information of the two associated parties. The agreement properties screen will display the following information:
    1. General Settings Tab
      • General - Displays the agreement information, and the type of protocol the agreement uses for message transfer (X12 or EDIFACT)
      • First Party - Displays the information of the partner for which the agreement is created, their associated business profile, and the associated protocol set
      • Second PartyDisplays the information of the partner with whom the agreement is created, their associated business profile, and the associated protocol set
      • Enable Agreement - If the check box is selected, you will notice the date range from when and through which date the agreement is valid. If the check box is not selected, you will not see the date range information in the From and End By sections.
      • Common Host Settings - Displays the common host settings such as Log errors to event log, Log warnings to event log, Turn ON Reporting, Store message payload for reporting
      • Additional Properties - Displays the name-value pairs for any additional information that is related to the party or agreement. The Text 1, Text 2, Agreement boxes displays the information about the agreement with the associated party.
    2. Party A -> Party B Agreement Properties Tab
      • This section will display the Protocol and Batch settings for message transfer between Party A and Party B
      • The Protocol settings will display information about Interchange Settings (Identifiers, Acknowledgements, Envelopes, Character sets and separators, Local host settings - Receiver's settings and control number, Validation, and Send Ports) and Transaction Set Settings (Transaction Set List, Validation, Local Host Settings, Envelopes). 
        All the values in the agreement properties screen are completely Read-Only. If you want to make any changes to the information, you need to log in to the BizTalk Server Administration Console.
    3. Party B -> Party A Agreement Properties Tab
      • This section will display the Protocol and Batch settings for message transfer between Party B and Party A
      • The Protocol settings will display information about Interchange Settings (Identifiers, Acknowledgements, Envelopes, Character sets and separators, Local host settings - Receiver's settings and control number, Validation, and Send Ports) and Transaction Set Settings (Transaction Set List, Validation, Local Host Settings, Envelopes). 
        All the values in the agreement properties screen are completely Read-Only. If you want to make any changes to the information, you need to log in to the BizTalk Server Administration Console.
