The first step in setting up the ESB Exception Management Portal in BizTalk360 is to configure the "ESB Exception database connection string" with BizTalk360. This can be done through the "Settings" screen.


Configuring The ESB Exception Database Connection String

  1. Log in to the application (as a Super user)
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page
  3. Click ESB Portal Settings from the left menu bar
  4. In the "Configure Your ESB Exception Database" page, select the Environment for which the ESB Exception Database Connection String is to be configured
  5. ESB Exception Database Connection String - Enter the connection string in the following format "Data Source=AZBTS2010R2CTP; Initial Catalog=EsbExceptionDb; Integrated Security=True".
  6. If you are using Integrated Security, make sure the BizTalk360 IIS Application Pool Identity has enough rights to access the Exception Database.
  7. Click Validate to validate the values entered in ESB Exception Database Connection String section
  8. Click Save to save the information


Configuring The Edit And Resubmit Message URLs

If you are keen to use the edit and resubmit, and bulk message submit options in BizTalk360, then you need to make the following settings in this page to be able to perform these operations on the messages. Follow the steps as shown below to set up the edit and resubmit message URLs:

  1. Log in to the application (as a Super user)
  2. Click the Settings icon at the top of the page
  3. Click ESB Portal Settings from the left menu bar
  4. In the "Configure Your ESB Exception Database" page, select the Environment for which the ESB Exception Database Connection String is to be configured
  5. ESB Exception Database Connection String - Enter the connection string in the following format "Data Source=AZBTS2010R2CTP; Initial Catalog=EsbExceptionDb; Integrated Security=True".
  6. If you are using Integrated Security, make sure the BizTalk360 IIS Application Pool Identity has enough rights to access the Exception Database.
  7. SOAP OnRamp Url - Enter the default SOAP OnRamp URL in the following format "http://localhost/ESB.ItineraryServices/ProcessItinerary.asmx
  8. WCF OnRamp Url - Enter the default WCF OnRamp URL in the following format "http://localhost/ESB.ItineraryServices.Generic.WCF/ProcessItinerary.svc
  9. Click Validate to validate the values entered in ESB Exception Database Connection String, SOAP OnRamp Url, and WCF OnRamp Url sections 
  10. Click Save to save the information
